My favorite Go-To beauty products!

There are some things you just can't replace! Here are some of my favorites! (All of these pictures I've just taken off of Google.)

1. Obviously the Naked Palette from Urban Decay. If you own this, it is probably your go-to item as well. I use this pretty much every day! The possibilities are endless!

2. Fox in a Box by Hard Candy. I love these colors! The colors are so soft and shimmery, it pretty much does the work for you! I typically mix them together for my cheek color then sculpt my cheeks and stuff with the  darker color. I just love it.

3. Cream Eye shadow in 'Whipped' by Urban Decay. My day starts at 5 o'clock and this makes it so easy to be able to look pretty that early in the morning! It lasts all day and leaves a nice shimmer to make your eyes so bright and awake. Then I use liquid liner to give a little wing tip and it looks great all day!

4. E.L.F liquid liner. The first liquid liner I got was the Hard Candy one, which is amazing but not really if your just starting out with liquid liner. I already have shaky hands and its kind of hard to control. Then I got the ELF liner for Christmas and it's amazing. If your just starting out with liquid liner you should definitely choose this one. Super easy to control and your don't get lots of product on this brush so you don't have to worry about accidents so much. I do love both the Hard Candy and the ELF liners and I guess both of them are my go-to products now.

 5. Physicians Formula Mineral Powder. I LOVE this foundation. I already wrote a review on it. Good stuff. My face is realllly acne prone and I think this is really helping compared to liquid or heavy foundations.

6.Cetaphil Face Moisturizer. I started using this because my boyfriends scratchy face drys my chin out like crazy! Gross I know.  One kiss and my chin is like peeling and dry and gross and I needed to fix it instantly! I started using this every day and now I have no problems! Great for winter dryness!

7. Maybelline Define a Line. This is the only eyeliner I have ever used. I don't have a reason to try anything different! Besides a liquid liner of course.

8. Burt's Bees Acne Solutions.  I started using this when I started my Natural Skin Care Challenge. I knew I wasn't really going to have the time to be making my face wash every day so I just bought something close enough. I usually have like constant breakouts but this has been the only thing that has helped and I'm so happy with it! I think this with the combination of mineral foundation is working really well! If you are looking for something to help with your acne try this because nothing has ever helped me!

Those are a few of my favorite things!

What to do when love's got you down and an update.

If you follow me on Tumblr or even on here you may have noticed I've been slacking a little bit. I've had some things going on that got me really distracted and honestly I just stopped caring about the things I really needed to be caring about. I've continued to gain followers here, on Tumblr, and on Twitter. It really gave me a boost and gave me a constant reminder of where I was headed and not to lose sight of my goals. I just wanted to give a huge thanks to everybody for continuing to follow me and thanks to all my new followers. It really means a lot and I'm planning a sweet giveaway as a huge thank you. My work schedule has gotten a lot less hectic so that will really help me be able to get back to you guys and back to what I love..
Through your life you will eventually deal with some sort of heartache. Whether it's a relationship, friendship, loss of a loved one, not getting an opportunity, change of plans..whatever it may be..it's so very important to never lose touch of yourself while your dealing with your heartache. Never lose track of what you were doing and who you were before the heartache started. I've lost 15 lbs during this past month and it made me realize I had lost all control and that no body should be able to get between me and my own mind and health. Only accept love that makes you head over heels, that gives you butterflies. Love when you are truly loved back. I saw a quote somewhere once that said something like life is to short to not do things with all of your heart, Love being one of them, don't waste your time on love unless your head over heels. It's so easy to just lay in bed and feel sorry for yourself and that may be okay for a day or two but you have to keep going and remember that no one is worth losing touch of yourself over. Find yourself and just keep swimming.. every day does get better. If someone chooses to hurt you then they are not worth keeping around. It's their loss and not yours. I believe that there is one person meant for you and only one person. Once you find that you'll know instantly and it'll be like all the heartache you've ever felt in your life is gone.

To sum everything up -
You are the only person in your life that can make you happy, don't ever let someone bring you down and ruin that.
Stay tuned for a giveaway.
You guys mean a lot to me and have really helped me more than you know.

The search for the perfect foundation is finally over!

You know that foundation you keep going back to? That works magically with your skin and you wonder why you ever even bother trying anything else?? Well, I finally just found that love with Physicians Formula Mineral Wear. I have a lot of redness from acne and acne scaring, I have breakouts, and I have moderately oily skin in my t-zone. I've always only used liquid foundation because I want a heavy coverage to cover up all my redness. But lately I just feel so gross wearing it. I feel like it's not even covering up what I want and just making my face look even worse! I finally gave in and started trying powders and mineral foundation but ended up using it over my liquid foundation because it just wasn't enough. A friend of mine wears this foundation and I can always tell when she wears it. Not because it looks like she just piled tons of makeup on her face but because her skin looked so pretty and flawless. I finally gave in and bought some and here's what I had to think about it -

Container- This container is really inconvenient. Underneath that bubble is a little lid over the sifter part but not a lid you can dump a little into. You waste quite a bit of product opening this and trying to get some out. I always poor some into the bubble part and I guess that works alright but it's still a little weird and you waste a bit of product. It comes with that little brush which is a decent brush. You could use it to carry around for touch ups because it fits nicely inside. I usually don't use any brushes or puffs or whatnot that comes with products but this one isn't bad.

Quality- I just don't have any words for how much I love this stuff! It beats out my MAC mineral wear any day. I've only tried a sample of Bare Minerals but I think this stuff is the same, if not better. Plus, it's half the price. Redness and dark circles? Gone! After blending all over my face with a kabuki brush I use a small fluffly concealer brush to go over red spots and dark circles and just use this as my concealer! It lasts all day for me. It's not drying and it's not oily. I just can't ask for anything else. It doesn't feel like I have any makeup on at all. It's just fantastic.

Price- This is $13.95. You can buy it here. And I definitely suggest you do. It's so amazing and it is half the price of Bare Minerals. A lot of drugstore foundations can get into that price range now so why not try this?

I won't be trying anything else for a long, long time! What's your favorite foundation and why?

Naked!

If you are the proud owner of a Naked Palette it is probably your go-to palette for day to day looks. This best-selling palette has amazing colors that look great on any eye color! There are 12 beautiful colors that make the combinations endless. Here are some of my favorite combinations -

For every lighter shade I have found a corresponding crease color. With these first few, because they are so light, I like to keep it classic with winged liner -
Virgin (1) with the crease as Sin (2)
Naked (3) with the crease Buck (5)
Sin (2) with the crease as Sidecar (4) or Toasted (9)

Some other combinations I love are -
Half Baked (6) with Smog (7)
Gunmetal (12) with Creep (11)
Toasted (9) with Hustle (10)

My favorite every day combo is -
Smog (7) in the crease, Half Baked (6) on my lid, and Virgin (1) under the brow and as a highlighting color.
Virgin is my all time favorite highlighting color. I use it pretty much every day no matter what look I'm doing.

I love using purples and I think all of these shades look amazing with purple, which makes me super happy.

If you don't have the Naked palette yet be sure to put it on your Christmas list! It is $48 which seems kind of expensive but it's only $4 a shadow which is an amazing price. The colors are so super pigmented and last forever! Plus it comes with a small primer and a brush (I didn't really like the brush at all but it's the thought that counts).

What are your favorite Naked combinations??

What was your wish yesterday?

Poll ResultsLast week I asked what did you like reading most on beauty blogs? The winner was tutorials and DIY’s. Which are my favorite too! I’ll try to post some more!

Fun FactDuring Renaissance times, women wore arsenic powder on their faces to obtain porcelaine white skin. This practice was discontinued when too many husbands became the casualty of this unhealthy fashion!

Apple vinegar and aspirin is a one-two exfoliating punch to clear acne scars and smooth bumpy, dry skin. Use daily for a softer, brighter complexion. If you have delicate skin, use this sparingly.

The quest for good skin - The All Natural Challenge

So I've decided to start an All Natural Skin Care Challenge. I would love to start doing more fun different 'challenges' to get people to experience more things! I know, it is sooo easy to get stuck in a makeup rut. I'm currently in a Half Baked by UD rut. It's just so pretty. Anyways, let me give you a brief summary of my skin. It's bad..I am doomed from both sides of my family. Luckily they all have decent skin now but I do not want to wait 10 more years! I have bad redness from acne scaring from years ago. It's really bad around my 'goatee' area (under my nose, around my mouth, on my chin.) I still get breakouts on my chin and always have small little bumps on my forehead. The hardest thing to cover up is the redness and it's just annoying to have constant breakouts! I've tried everything and I've even tried to just accept it but I'm going into the beauty industry and it's just not pretty.

The Challenge
So I was thinking, why would I put anything on my face that I wouldn't want to eat. Sure it's powerful but apparently it's just not enough. I get pretty nice results when I make my own face wash/masks so I figured why not just use the natural stuff.
